i use DVD Shrink to compress and Nero to burn. every thing goes good until i go to "back up" it goes to 1% then says "DVD shrink has encounter an error and can not continue, Programming error - exception occurred, the handel is invalid." the i press ok and again "DVD shrink has encounter an error and can not continue, Programming error - exception occurred"
What to do i tryed dvdfab, northing also ripit4me.
HELLP!

DVD Shrink will not handle newer encryptions. You will have to use something like dvdfab decrypter (free), vovblanker (free) and then shrink the movie in your hd.

this is what i did, i used dvdshrink to shrink the movie, then when it gives me the options i just put the main movie to burn. i'm also thinking what would work, because this is the method i usually use and it hasn't had problems yet. I used DVDfab to decrypt it, then used DVDshrink to compress the file, then used DVDsanta to burn. never had a problem using this method yet.

Thats where i have my problem when i try to shrink it or "backup" it says that crap. and i did use dvdfab first then tryed to use dvdshrink just to compress it to my HD and nothing. just sayed the same thing.

Can you post your Nero log, to see if we can help?? Just edit your serial number, you don't want that posted.

I did get to use Nero, cause I cant compress the movie to fit DVD5. DVD Shrink just stops me when im about to compress. it stops me at 1%, then i saved it at my HD using dvdfab and us DVD Shrink to compress it but same thing happen it stops me at 1% saying the same thing.

Backup in Reauthor mode and see if you get the same error message.

ok so far i can back up the main movie only with out the extra or menu ect.. But whats the fun of having the movie when you cant have it like the original. but im going to try the re author mode.

I back up all my DVD as movie only to save on space thus increasing the quality of the DVD. If'n I want to watch the special features I can always whip out the original.

lol i wish i can do the same but some people cant =P(you know what i mean). well anyways I did the reauthor thing and its going good, its not giving me that problem. but i dont want to speak to early.

Download AnyDVD trial version....Open AnyDVD up.... then open Shrink. Then do your normal routine. Perffect back up . Just did it yesterday.

I just did this movie yesterday. DVDFab, VobBlanker, Shrink and autoburn with Nero.
Oh! and that was the complete movie, extra's etc.
