how do i put a video clip that i downloaded from the web on a dvd so that i can watch it on my dvd player

It has to be converted from (presumably) mpeg4 (DivX, XviD) into DVD-compliant files (VOBS). You'll need a video converter like WinAVI or vsoDivXtoDVD: http://downloads.vnunet.com/download/divx/vso+divx+to+dvd+converter/_32986.html

I've used both and prefer WinAVI but vsoDivXtoDVD is free.
