Here's my problem. I've followed all instructions and get up to a point where I am ready to back-up my movie. I click on the back-up icon and the windows hour glass shows up for about 10 sec. Then the screen goes blank and the desktop shows up. Thats it . Cannot go any further. Before clicking on the back-up icon the program seems to work fine. Please help!!

this sounds like a protection problem.

What programs are u using before DVD Shrink?
What movie r u trying to back up?

Thanks for the response. Never tried to make copies of movies before, so I've never used any other programs. I tried to copy 3 different movies with the same problem. Solaris, Pitch Black and Vanilla Sky.

These movies that u listed should not be a problem(encryption wise) for DVD Shrink, make sure u clean the dvds u r trying to copy.

If that fails then u can use DVD Decrypter to rip the files to ur HDD and then process them thru shrink.

All suggestions were very helpful. DVD Decrypter works well. Also on difficult movies like Inside Man, had to use DVDfab & VobBlanker then DVD Shrink.

Glad to hear u got it all working,
The DVDfab>VobBlanker>Shrink>ImgBurn this combo is unbeatable, never failed me once.

i too still use good ole DVD Decrypter for movies that are not Sony and Disney.
