What do you intend to do with them?

For example play them on a stand alone dvd player, if so is it AVI compatible?

Do you want to burn these movies AVI. If so then burn then to the disk in the same way that you would any other file eg. if you're using Nero then just drag and drop or browse to the file and add it.

If you want to convert them to dvd format and then burn them to the disc then thats totally different.

>>>>>... tried Nero once and the audio sync was totally out and it was not the AVI file that was corrupt.

Nero has problems with mp3 VBR audio as does VirtualDub.

The VSO app is ConvertXToDVD, no audio sync problems for the most part and it is faster than NeroVision. ConvertXToDVD's menuing is rather crude and awkward though, and seems to be just tossed on, but it does a decent job converting. Unfortunately a 2 part movie will end up as 2 titlesets as it can't merge like Nero can.
