watadork>> Are you sure it is a bad flash? What BIOS did you try to flash with? And what size was the bios file? (i.e. 256k , 512k 1mb)
I have tryed to do a bad flash on the appleX3 with using a bigger file and it wont flash unless it is the right size. let me know.

yes it is a bad flash. Whenever i turn on the xbox, red and green lights flash and nothing on screen. I used the x2 bios 4978 to flash it. Originally the file size was 1024k but i use this program to split it to 256k.

Ohh I C :( Xecuter2 4978 has an .xbe packed in with it.(The FTP Server)As far as I know, The smallest that it can be repacked to is 512k.So looks like you need a new chip man. www.modchips.cc used to sell the Apple X3 for $20.00 USD.I'm not sure if they still do.Sorry to bear bad news.

It should work fine if you remove your chip. But if you did not use wires to install your chip,(if you soldered it directly to the pads) then be VERY CAREFUL removing your chip because you can easily lift a trace and leave your motherboard damaged.I know from experience (twice). An alternative would be to just use the disable function of the Apple X3 (power on with eject button).Good Luck.

i hear that there is a "hot-swap" method. Which i have no clue what it is about but i hear it would work to fix my problem. Whats the best way to to take out my chip? Desoldering braid? Pump?

Yes of course you can play !
Don't forget to disable your modchips (by power on the Xbox with the eject buton), and there is no problem for Xbox Live with Apple X3 (or Apple X Pro) and 120 Go HD ! Don't forget you can't play on Xbox Live with backup of playgames, only with the originals
Your HDD must be locked (otherwise it's impossible to start Xbox with modchip disable)

Yes and the error code should be "n°5",
If you don't know how to do, go on my website (www.xavbox.com) and select "tutos" and in the "soft section" click on "locké et unlocqué son disque dur..."
Don't be afraid, this is in French but there is a lot of screenshot (you don't need to understand french).
You can also look the section "Xbox Live avec une puce et..." => you can see test with "Apple X3" and with "Executer Lite 2.2"

Error 13 = impossible to launch the dashboard !
This is normal if you have install Xbox Live with the Microsoft CD ROM => the file xboxdash.xbe was change... Just install Evolution X (or another dashboard) on after its work (my english is too poor for explain how can you do)
