I have a program that takes 9 720k disks to load. Is there any way I can (image?) these disks and write that to a cd to load from there?
The disk now need to be run from the "A" drive. (I am sure the program looks at the volume label to make sure you've put in the correct disk).

Thanks in advance

You can use Imgburn 2.0 to construct an image file and then burn it...

Yes, "A" is my floppy drive. The program is a an old graphics program that I am very comfortable with.
Thank you for your answer. But as a "newbie" I am afraid I don't understand how to do what you've written.
I went to ImBurn's website but don't really understand how to use the program. Is it possible you can give me some more of your time and give me some more explination of the steps I should take.

Thanks.

Ok np lol.

I don't use floppy's myself anymore so bit rusty lol but here goes :P

Download Imgburn and run it. Select mode, at the top, and click build.

Then select browse in build mode and locate your a drive. Selct the file folders off of that.

Once you have selected al of your folders from all 9 floppys and they are listed in the box...

Make sure you have it on this...

...You select your destination drive (your blank cd-r or w/e) and click write button.
It will write to cd ready for use.

Get back to me ok...

OK
I opened ImgBurn 2.0 and clicked build.
I then clicked BROWSE (and This is where I am stuck) There are 2 choices. BROWSE for a Folder and BROWSE for a file. Since there are only files on most of these disks, I clicked BROWSE for a file and went to the "A" drive. Highlighted all the files, and clicked Open. The files from DISK 1 are now in the window under the Source rectagular window. I also did that for DISK 2. It Looks Like This:
A:\Disk_001.MDA - -
A:\Install.exe | = DISK 1
A:\Install.mda |
A:\Manifest.bin - -
A:\Disk_002.MDA = DISK 2

Is this correct and I should do all 9 disks this way or am I doing it wrong?

Thanks again.

Yes - you want all the files from all 9 disks in that rectangular window.

Keep going - sorry for unclear guide btw lol :)

OK. I got all 9 disks in. I then clicked the "switch to device" button and it shows my Sony burner. I checked "Test Mode" and then clicked the "write" button. It then looks for disk 1 in the "A" drive. If I click OK and Cancel and then put Disk 1 in the "A" drive and press the Write button it now says "file or folder does not exist because it's looking for the file that is on the # 2 disk.

What am I doing wrong?

I copied all the files to a folder on my "C" drive. I then used ImgBurn in 'Build Mode' and selected all the files. I then clicked the write button with the Test Mode checked and it didn't seem to write. (I guess that's what test mode means. It will test the compilation to see if it will burn OK). I then clicked the verify box and the write botton and it wrote all the files. I navigated to my cd burner and double clicked on the install.exe and it installed perfectly.

Thanks for holding my hand to get me started.

Hey well done! Sorry I didn't reply to your earlier post - i'm uk and we're 5 hours plus and i went to bed. Not using floppys myself, stupidly forgot that you should have copied files to drive first.

Well done for working it out on your own.

Everyone starts somewhere - keep at it.
