xbox game pad dead zone problem.........

Hey I have a modded xbox and I have a hacked bios. So it comes as Unknown..........

Well the problem is that I have 2 xbox controllers but they are not the original one. They do not have an inline release.

The problem is that the dead zone of these 2 xbox gamepads have some problems. Well when we move the left analog stick a little right, the character will move abit left. And when v move the analog fully right, then only the character will go right.

Also, I bought one more xbox contoller which had an inline release but it had scratches on its connector and it was not a packed xbox game pad.

It had the same problem. But it was not as grave as the previous two.
Well in this controller, when we move the left analog a little right, the character will walk right . But when we move the analog a little to the left, the charater will run and then walk, then again run and then walk. Well its not a stable walk.....


I just want to know whether its a problem with my xbox game pad or is it a problem with my xbox controller port????

So if I buy an original and packed xbox game pad will this problem get fixed???

It's a problem with the controllers. The analog joysticks are transmitting incorrect signals. This could be due to wear and tear, abuse, or both.

Easy fix: Buy an official controller or get one from a reliable third party developer such as Pelican and Logitech. Also, stay away from Mad Catz...

I recommend just going to a retail store. It's not like they cost much anymore, especially since the Xbox360 is out.

As for eBay, you'd have to ask the seller.
