i'm not real technical... i use any dvd and DVD Shrink.. i also have pgc edit and rip it for me.

lately more times then not i get a failed burn message from shrink.. i check the disk in my computer and it is usually burned about 98percent done... so i get to the credits, which is all i care about...

however, when i try to play in my dvd player it reads nothing on the disk... i'm guessing because the disk was never finalized by shrink.

so, i have 8 or so movies that i've burned and can watch on the computer, but not dvd player... how can i make them work? what is going on with my programs?

is there a way i should be burning other then just using shrink and any dvd?

i dont know geek speak.

hello Blitz99,
well i assume that u are autoburning shrink with DVD Decrypter or Nero? becuz shrink doesn't burn. two questions for ya

1. What type of media(Brand Name) are u using?

2. What is the output size in DVD Shrink, preferences. here a pic

Select custom and put in 4360 to make sure u are not burning to close to the edge.

Also can u post a log for what ever program u are burning with?

currently using memorex DVD-R 16x

as for the other question "DVD-5" 4.7GB

and yes, i guess it's set to burn with Nero.

if there is a better/easier way to burn dvd's, i'm all for it... i've made a ton of coasters the past few weeks.

i dont know geek speak.

Memorex could be the reason for the coasters
ok, Memorex is known as MemoSux, u can try better media such as, Taiyo Yuden(Online), Verbatims.

second try changing the output size if u still want to use the memosux disks, to see if that helps.

third is do u have Nero? if so u can post a log so other members can see what is wrong with the burning?

U can also try ImgBurn(free) for ur burning needs, can burn an ISO and a folder.
