Sometimes I find that a movie after been shrunk by DVDShrink, still is not shrunk enough to fit in a DVD (shows a red ending line). So I guess in that case I have to reauthor (to eliminate stuff that I am not going to use). Doing so, is it possible to keep the menu's funcionalities? (The ones that I am more interested are the subtitles). If yes, can somebody tell me how? (What programs to use and the procedure?).

Using just reauthor mode won't keep the menus functional but you can leave the subtitles. They are checked by default - if you didn't want them you would just uncheck them.
You can always rip the DVD to your hard drive and process the files through VobBlanker blanking out anything you don't want. If you blank out all the extras and bad cells, you can still have a fully functional menu and the main movie.
