I purchased this combo vcr/dvd recorder unit with the intention of backing up some of my PURCHASED vhs movies on to DVD. Sadly I am getting a copy guard message. I also have the same type of probmlem with recording broadcast digital tv. With these 2 functions unavailable, that leaves recording home videos to VHS .... TOTALLY USELESS!! I am new and don't want to break any forum rules but I feel I have been ripped off. Even a $39 vhs machine will record digital tv. Any information on how I could get this device to record as I expected would be greatly appreciated.
