I've been using DVD Shrink to shrink my movies down but when i put in bourne supremacy and had a little progress going it said "encountered error and connot continue. program error-exception occured" it also did this with resident evil 2 and the first bourne movie. are they encrypted or is my software corrupt or what? Thanks

they are encrypted, and from doing both of the Bourne movies i know that there are some bad(fake cells) that need to be blanked out in order for shrink to work.
so u have to rip them to ur HDD first and fix them before using shrink heres how
1. DVDFab decrypter(Free) to rip the movie to the HDD
http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm

2. VOBblanker(Free) (Not always needed) to clean and fix the movie
http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm

Here is a guide for DVDFab>VOBbalnker>Recode Guide BY Alkohol
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/334154

3. DVD shrink(free) to make it fit on a SL(4.7G) disk

4.Burn with whatever program u want (free way, ImgBurn or DVD Decrypter)

OR
Another free method is RIPIT4ME, which uses good ole DVD Decrypter + FixVTS +Shrink or Nero Recode Programs and a guide BY Arniebear

I backed-up both using only DVDshrink, you'll encounter an encryption problem if you try and backup the whole movie. Using shrink in re-author mode, backup just the main movie and audio channel of choice (5.1 AC3 english, no subtitles recommended), have shrink create an ISO image file that you can burn to disk using DVD Decrypter (or imgburn, Nero....).

Use Anydvd and believe

DVDFab HD Decrypter (free)... http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm

Yeah, it works fine for most movies if you just copy the movie.

Rip the entire disc to HDD using DVD Decrypter in File mode with all files selected...if you want to keep your menus and special features apply "No compression" or "Still Image" to the "unreferenced materials" to eliminate the jumping boy and all should be well.
