Hello,

here is what I have:

HDLoader 0.8B

Swap Magic from here:
http://www.swapmagic3.com/

PS2 Network Adapter from ebay (will order later today)

Western Digital HD Compatibility hard drive (WD307AA) according to this site:
http://ps2drives.x-pec.com/?p=list


Is this all I need? I'm not worried about copying games to the HDD from my PC right now.

Steps:
-Connect HDD to PS2 through network adapter
-Insert HD Loader CD, use Swap Magic to boot it and boot games
-Copy over games to HDD

Is that all?

One thing I'm wonder about is how to connect the HDD to the PS2. On that HDD compatiblity site, it says the following:

Although it does not fit in the first place, by removing the silver plate (or bending it) the drive can be inserted in the Eth Adaptor. VERY IMPORTANT: The MASTER setting does not work, you have to set the jumper on |:::: (expl: master -> ::|::, slave -> :::I:)

Need to use cable select not master.

Not sure what these guys mean? I'm not sure which jumper setting is which or how to use "cable select."

Any help would be appreciated.

1. Your western Digital hard drive is not going to fit in your network adapter. Thats why you need to mess with the silver plate on the adapter.

2. on the back of your hard drive is a bunch of little pins that look like :::::. There should be a little plastic piece connecting 1 set of pins. You need to put it on the 4th set, hence :::I: (I stands for the plastic piece).
