I tried using ripit4me on this for the first time. Basically because I'm a computer idiot and can't figure out how to work Vob Blanker
Goes fine until it goes into dvdshrink. won't start DVD Shrink because i get an error message saying can't read VOB file. I have all the default settings set including fixvts.
Am i screwing somethin up? I used one click option on whole movie and then tried movie only.

I used VOB blank and i get an invalid access to memory location. I gues i'm just an idiot because i thought i followed tyhe directions.

i did not use VobBlanker on this movie. i just ran it through DVDFab, and opened it in Nero, and make a perfect back up.

You should not need VobBlanker if you are using Ripit4me with FixVTS. FixVTS does the same thing as VobBlanker (unless you are using blanker to blank out specific things, which I'm guessing you didn't want to do since you ripped movie only).

That's weird. I didn't have any problems with the movie and got a great backup. How are your settings on everything? I'm guessing you didn't mess with any of them considering you said you're a computer idiot.

The settings must have been changed. If the correct paths to DVD_Decrypter, FixVTS and Shrink are there and the user doesn't skip steps, everything will go smooth. Just use the 1-Click Mode and you will have a nice clean rip. I just did this movie 3 different ways with RipIt4Me and had no problems whatsoever.

it's weird i hit default options and i keep getting an error doesn't recongnize file with VOB at the end. I don't know what the problem is. when you hit default it's supposed to go back to defaul options still doesn't work. weird.

i think i have a newer version ripit4me which is flawed because i think i see the problem already.
i said i am idiot with computers but in general i'm pretty intelligent first dvd i have had a problem with out of quite a few.
i can almost always follow the great directions on the site.
i have an extra box Right above your Removed unreferenced video
the extra box is checked and says Always run Fixvts on full dvd
that's one difference which i don't think is the problem i think this second one is the problem with the updated version
Final line your version path to vixvts has it going to pgcedit\plugins\fixvts.exe
while mine goes directly to dvdshrink link the step above. one onf the errors i get is it shuld got to fixvts.exe
what version of ripit4 are you using because i think your version works better than mine.

I'm not suprised people are having problems with it. According to AnyDVD it is packed to the hilt with protection and errors. I did manage to back it up sucessfully though.
AnyDVD(6.0.5.1) and DVD Shrink plus ImgBurn to burn it.

You are right about the extra line. I need to update my picture. Always run FixVTS on full DVD should be checked. As for FixVTS it can be anywhere as long as it's pointing to that folder. The quality of the rip will be great. There are many comparrison test which show that.

Got it working. Sometimes i surprise myself. Dialysis1, thanxs for the help. for some reason when i downloaded the program the path to fixvts went to DVD Shrink as the default. I don't know if that's my fault or the programs. i doanloaded older versions of the program of ripit4me same problem. after seeing what you had in that box i went in and changed the box, i couldn't get exactly what you had only able to put in FixVTS.exe for what ever reason but it finally worked. it seems the program was going to DVD Shrink without going to fixvts, i cann't understand why that became the default and i had a job changing it, like said i couldn't get it exactly like yours but simply going to fixVTS worked.

I've had a problem trying to burn this one too....
I'm somewhat new to all this as far as AnyDVD, and VobBlanker. But i'll try what was said here....

I Did what Dialysis and others said to do [1-click mode]. All worked great until I got to Shrink which @ 73% encoded gives me an error message that says;
Out of memory
The parameter is incorrect
This is the same problem which led me to Afterdawn in the first place, though I got the message @ 2 or 3% encoded. Ripit4me was amazing, but I still get the error message, except now @ 73%. Does "memory/" refer to HD space, of which I have plenty?
Any help someone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

It probably has to do with protection still, Make sure u use FixVTS if u are using Ripit4me, as u need that program to clean out all the fake bad cells in the movie.

For some reason, Ripit4me will not use FixVTS 1.403 and continues to use an older ver (1.200). This may be the problem because I continually get a message to use the newer version. How do I get ver. 1.403 into the mix? Thanks.

hey dialysis1,
im not having a problem currently doing the way you have said to the guy who posted this thread but i have one question for you:
in my RipIt4Me program, i have the "include VIDEO_TS" box checked, and it all works fine. is there a reason why i should or should not check this box?

No. Either way will work but when you are ready to burn, it should be in a VIDEO_TS folder.

Hi there,
I tried DVD Fab (which put it in a folder, but now when I try DVD Shrink it doesnt work), DVD Shrink(just didnt work) and DVD Decrypt (put it into an ISO, but is too large to put on disk) And my brother has it back now, so does anyone know a way for me to get it so that I can burn a copy. I still have the files from DVD Fab and DVD Decrypt, but dont know how to get them smaller. Tried the DVD Shrink with the ISO file from DVD Decrypt, but didnt work.....
Any help would be great!

can someone help me on united 93. I am not very computer skilled in burning although i have burned many copies of different movies. I have dvd fab, DVD Shrink, AnyDVD, and Nero. I can burn typically when I just open these programs, but i have never changed any settings on them. Am I able to burn united 93 using these programs???? If so how do i burn them without getting the errors i have been getting about paramater out of range, etc.
