ok guys this is gonna be my very first guide and its simply based on all the programs i have except the ones already stickied...so lets start:
UMD GEN : http://www.maxconsole.net/?mode=downloads&categoryid=113 download v3.5
this is a nice tool to convert PSP_GAME and UMD_DATA.BIN into an iso or even shrinking it..depending on the game it will shrink more or less..u just have to drop PSP_GAME and UMD_DATA.BIN in the right side of UMD GEN and go to save and rewrite the other one...itll be smaller...
another use of UMD GEN is u can extract ur iso into the iso named file and open it...next go to the USRDIR and if it has an update folder delete it... then save it by the same name of the iso rewriting the other one... it'd surely be smaller
well thats all i know about UMD GEN so lets go to our next program
ISO compressor : http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/683
this is a very easy program to use it just converts :
1 ISO TO CSO
2 ISO TO DAX
3 CSO TO DAX
4 DAX TO CSO
5 CSO TO ISO
6 DAX TO ISO
it is very easy to install.. it comes in a rar file all u have to do is extract it to iso compressor and u should have a folder ( preferably in desktop) called iso compressor...
u have to open it and open iso compressor.exe.. ull see a rectangular blue window open with the conversions i said above...choose ur one and then go to browse input file...choose the file and then go down and u will have an option of compression level... 9 will be the : best ( the smallest u can get ) and then 1 : worst ( littlest compression u can get... so u can choose if u dont want to make something really small u can choose like compression level 5 :D
after that u get 4 more tick options below.. if the thing u are compressing contains video files and u dont want them compressed tick the dont compress video files, if u have audio files tick dont compress audio files if u dont wwant them smaller as in less quality...if u dont want to compress video or audio tick the last box
THE END :D
now its EASY CORRUPTION FIXER : http://dl.qj.net/easy-corruption-fixer-g.../9223/catid/151
this comes in a zip file.. extract the zip file and take out the file called UBER ONE's easy corruption fixer.exe to the desktop
plug in ur psp through the usb cable... run the easy corruption.exe and choose ur drive where the psp is placed... it will take a few minutes to fix all the corrupted files in ur psp.. then go to the right hand bottom corner of ur taskbar and klick safely remove hard drive...press stop and press remove and now u can unplug ur corruption fixed psp :D THE END
thats all i got time for today ill update this later :D btw how is it

im sorry i forgot to tell every one that if they dont have WinRAR you can download it from www.rarlabs.com
UPDATE TIME :D
next is a very easy but useful tool called PSPwxp u can get it from http://www.download.com/PspWxp/3000-7242_4-10539062.html
*this will only work for ppl who have a web browser
you just have to download it and it will come in a zip file..open the pspwxp.zip with WinRAR and minimize it for the time..connect ur psp to the computer throught usb...once ur psp is connected go to the pspwxp.exe and double klick on it..
there will be a small window letting u choose the drive..choose the psp drive and click ok..it will install in a few moments..if it doesnt and it doesnt respond after u click ok do the following...in the zip file u will also find a folder called pspwxp..open my computer and go to the removable drive...then use the drag and drop it in the removable drive(psp) root...once that is completed safely remove ur psp...
open ur web browser..if ur using devhook go to fw 2.71... press triangle and go to where it sais address and type in the following without the quotes : "file:/pspwxp/index.htm" and klick enter. after this press triangle and press triangle again...once u see windows xp press it again :D... it has many functions like a converter, calculator, around 20 games, and if u dont want to use the normal web browser and have a wirelless internet connection u can use internet explorer :D THE END

I guess im updating again...
So, hopefully I have some of you interested in 3GP Converter. This is what your going to need:
1. 3GP Converter 0.34
2. Avisynth 2.56
File download: http://www.pspcrazy.com/?page=Files&action=showfile&id=235
Both of these are in the RAR I?ve provided. Extract the files to where ever. the first thing to do it install avisynth, so go ahead and double click "Avisynth_256.exe" to install. Just follow the instructions and you should be fine. If uv been using PSP Video 9 you don?t need to install this because it has already installed it for you. Now, what I would do is take the folder that contains all the files and throw it in "Program Files" on your primary drive and create shortcuts to "3GP_Converter" and "Settings" from the Start Menu or Desktop. That way we have easy access to both of them.
Now your done with installation. Execute "Settings". You should see a window with a bunch of garbled symbols/letters. If you have the Japanese IME you probably can actually see the Japanese characters. In the lower left hand corner there is a drop down box that allows you to switch the language. Switch it to whatever language you prefer (most likely English). In the big box at the top of the windows scroll down and highlight "Model: MP4 for PSP" and click apply.
You are now finished with setting up 3GP Converter. Execute "3GP_Converter". You?ll another windows similar to the one before but not. The top window is where you will drag your videos to convert. The drop down selection box allows you to select your encoding settings. The "browse" button lets you set the place where you want 3GP Converter to put your converted videos. To convert, simply drag the video onto the top box that says "Drag&Drop files here". Encoding will start immediatly. If you wish to cancel the process you can hit "Abort current process" and it will stop.
Note that if you right click on the window and select options a window with a number of options will come up. I won?t cover that since it?s pretty easy to understand.

I tried it on my 2.0 psp then 1.5 and it still doesn't work. Im wondering if i did anything wrong? I heard of something about the file breakage , then you mend it with a program.... Do i have to do it to mine . The file im talking about is below , the highlighted one with a arrow pointing to it. Hope you can help XD

hold power up for 10seconds, till the screen turns off. turn psp back on, your now 1.5 again.
devhook emulates 2.71 firmware, it doesn't actually upgrade it.
