Hi sixfigure
What exactly is the error for the game & he movie?
Can't help too much at all on game backups but movies can. Each though uses different protections.
What movie are you doing?

What's the error that you get? Can be helpfully.
How about the make and model of the Memorex burner?
Does the problem happen when it's burning the dvd?

Ok
You have the latest firmware (last updated 6/05) for the Memorex burner but it only give a burn speed up to 4x on the 16x media you are using (RITEKF1) so looks like your drive doesn't fully recognize them and reason for the burn failures.
Ritek is ok not the best - better would be Verbatim or made in Japan Sony, Fuji or Maxell.
Your drive is actually a LiteOn SOHW 1633S so you could crossflash to the lastest firmware BSOY (would use the patched on). Little higher risk & if by chance this drive is still under warranty it would be void.
Here's a link - just scroll down to the LiteOn SOHW 1633S to download the patched BSOY. This is also a link on crossflashing - looks like you could use method 2.
Keep us posted.
edit: forgot the link :)
