game saves on HDD while using HD Advance

Hello, this is my first post. I was wondering if there was any way to use the HDD to have game saves on it, while also using it to hold ripped copies of my games. I was kind of hoping I could phase out my memory cards and just use the HDD. Any advice would be appreciated. I imagine there is some program out there somewhere to make this work...Thanks!
