Hi all. On my pc I currently have .net framework 1.1 and .net framework 1.1 hotfix (kb886903) installed.

Im trying to install .net framework 2 as I need it to run a piece of software.

Ive downloaded it from Microsoft site, I attempt to install it, it extracts everything as it install but then nothing happens, I get no error codes, .net framework 2 is not listed in the 'ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS' folder, so its not installing. Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this, or if anyone else has had a similar problem?

I installed NET framwork 2 on my computer with no problem it installed by itself go back to windows update and check to make sure you downloaded the proper program

Hi there. Thanks David66 and rav009. I installed again from that site(I tried that one before) and it worked this time. The only difference was that instead of saving it and then opening it up from its saved location, I just pressed run on the download box-so who knows? Anyway, it worked so that the main. Once again, thanks alot.
