how to setup conecxtion between xbox nd pc

i have a crossover cable connected to xbox and pc and the tough part is setting up ip of xbox and pc's i dunno how to obtain xbox's ip
i have seen sum xbox tuts in one tut it says u shd hav a evolution x installed on xbox i dont hav evo x installed on my xbox so how shd i install it! if i dont install Evo X can i FTP teh xbox i made an Evo x disc
Cd-r and burned in Xiso format but my xbox is not Recognizing it
so i made EvoX dvd still it is unable to read it

help me plz!!!!! :'(

You don't need evox, you can have any dashboard as long as your xbox is modded. To find your xbox's IP, go to system/settings/network and look at your current IP, that is it

i think i dont have these system/settings/network on my xbox i know it sounds weird but ive never seen them i ve seen xbox live and settings and went there to check ip it displays 0.0.0.0. how to obtain my xbox ip plz help me out guys!

From the sound of it, your Xbox isn't even modded. It also sounds as though you're trying to FTP to your Xbox while using the MS dashboard (Microsoft Dashboard).

You have to either soft mod or hard mod your Xbox and install a hacked dashboard before you can FTP properly.

my xbox is not able to read CDRW hmm i made an evo x cdrw but my xbox is still giving me probs so i decided to change xbox's drive can any one help me how to change xbox's drive i have benq 1650 dvd writer i just need some tips on how to open xbox and install dvd writer NOTE: i ve never opened xbox this will be my first time! i have some pc hardware knowledge
plz help me out i dont want to screw up my xbox :(
