Am having a problem with the Plague, movie backs up ok, but when I play it, it just keeps going to main menu..........any ideas/anyone else have that happen??? Using AnyDVD 6.0.5.1, clone DVD2 2.9.0.1,
region free+css 5.9.8.3 Never had prob like this before. It is a sony dvd. Any thoughts would be much obliged

What version are you referring to? There is 1991 version with William Hurt & Robert Duvall. There is a 2002 version, which is more of a documentary. If there is a newer version of the movie I am not familiar with it.

What I do is the following:
AnyDVD running in the background when I run DVD Decrypter. I have DVD Decrypter set on Elby output. It takes about 15 min. to put the movie on the HD. Next I open VobBlanker and blank out all unwanted information. Then I use either DVD Shrink or Nero Recode2 to shrink the film to fit on a DVD-5. Then I burn with Nero SE.

This method works for every film I backup regardless if it is Sony or not. I stopped using CloneDVD2 because it did not always give me what I desired. Try it and maybe it will work for you. Just be sure to make the changes in DVD Decrypter before you begin.

It is a Clive Barker film from 2006, just released to DVD yesterday here in the states. Thanks for the input, i'll have to give that a shot if this doesnt work. am trying with shink - reauthored - with AnyDVD.lates and region fee + css in backgound.

Well i got it to backup, but w/o menus. Shrink + AnyDVD.6.0.5.1 + dvd region free+css.5.9.8.3 re-authored via shrink. First one clone dvd2 failed on!! and didn't need DVD Decrypter or Vob Blanker, or any other program. Only missing menus, but it goes right into the movie, so I can live with that until another fix is with menus is completed.

For whatever it's worth, I only used the Shrink app to rip the main movie.

I opened shrink, hit reauthor, navigated to the DVD writer drive, hit enter, dragged the first main movie title over from the right pane to left pane (first main movie title is WS version, the second is STD version), hit backup to make an ISO file, then burned with ImgBurn. Result was the WS version of movie only - fits on a single layer blank.
