Well my ps2 wont boot at all, the thing just stays on standby and flashes green for a second. I used a swap disc which worked fine and I havent opened it, after I let my ps2 on, it would boot and auto-shut off a couple of times and now it wont start any help. Any help please!!

It sounds like to me that maybe over time from pressing the reset/standby button that it is starting to malfunction. Maybe borrow a friends power switch. Look up on the faqs to figure out how to remove. Actually you could just look up on a fliptop mod guide, then just pull out the power switch tape. Personally I would do this, but it isnt suggested if you haven't worked with and hardware people. Do it at your own.

well it seems to work fine even right now, it just wont boot. My ps2 slim has a fall quiet few times. And when it did go on standby it acted strange before it. First the ps2 seems completly dead then after I shocked it alittle it booted, then it shut off and went on stand by about 3 times after I left it on for a couple of mins. And then wouldnt boot, so I dont know what the real problem is. Really mad that ps2 broken less than a year.
