well i did everything i was told to do using firmware 3.2. everything went well with flashing and w/the game backing up or at least i thought it did. when i turn on the 360 it powered on normal so the that means the mdified firmware worked but when i put my backup game it started but then i got a screen saying "to play this disc put it in an xbox 360 console" what happened? boo hoo. i have a samsung drive 25, i got a pioneer 111d burner and i was using verbatim discs any help. i might of done something wrong in the proscess? does it matter that afteer using isobuster i got image.000 instaed of .dvd? i read it dont.that image was over 7gigs. Originals play fine.help

If the originals are playing fine then the flash went ok. Before you burnt the backup, did you insert the ss?

i extracted thee ss with dvdinfo and the dfi, phi. extracted the game iso with isobuster. pasted all the files with build360 double clicked it then i got my image.000 file. to get the ss i used the commands with dvdinfo.

try using the schtrom360xtractv2.1, it does everything for you in 1 step, just connect drive to pc, power on xbox, put in 0800 mode, power on pc, click start on the program and it does everything for you.

ok i connected my 360 to pc put in 0800 mode my pc it reconizied it after i pc game in then started Schtrom360XtractV2.1 and it started doing its thing then it was done. a 000 file "IMAGE1.000" & a dvd file "IMAGE1". IMAGE1.000 was over 7gigs & IMAGE1 30 bytes so i recorded IMAGE.000 then popped in back up and it didnt reconize the disc. said it might be dirty to clean or restart it and i did but nothing original works fine. PLEASE HELP.

one more thing when i open dvd file (IMAGE1) it shows layer break but when i open 000 file (IMAGE.000) no layer break??????

What program did you use to burn with? And you should select the .dvd to burn. Ya... it's small, but that one tells the burning program how to burn the .000

thanks bhetrick although you are on the money i did manage to figure it out befor i read your last post. it was a long road my eyes hurt from all the reading and know i dont have to worry about losing or scracthing my precious madden07, fightnight, callofduty, and pg3. i have back ups for my games now and will have for my future games like live and fifa. nothing wrong with backups. its what you do with them. thanks goes out to all the guys that posted when i needed answers whether it was my questions or other peoples questions, it all helped. pad your selves on the back. also to all the other forums other links websites it all helped. peace i'm out
