DVDRyan,
Do you have a Trial Version or did you buy CloneDVD 2? Either way, I would recommend uninstalling CloneDVD 2, Re-Boot. Use a registry cleaner like Crap Cleaner, available FREE at www.ccleaner.com
Use "Scan for issues" mode, fix all. Re-install CloneDVD 2. If you have a "key", which means you bought CloneDVD 2, re-register it.
Re-Boot. This should fix your problem.

You might be burning at a rate too high for your computer. Also, some software conflicts with CloneDVD. Try burning slower first.

Start AnyDVD. Copy the VIDEO_TS folder from the American Graffiti DVD to your hard drive. Now start CloneDVD and point CloneDVD to the VIDEO_TS folder on your hard drive and allow CloneDVD copy the American Graffiti VIDEO_TS Folder.

And make sure you have the newest versions installed, and as bunnyrip suggests a cleanup may help. Do a defrag/virus scan/spyware scan and reg clean.

I am burning at the lowest speed (1x). Also I dont have any other programs running, except for spy sweeper in the back, which i'll experiment shutting down b4 i back up a dvd. And I got the crap cleaner which doesn't work much better than windows washer 6.0, I do have a fairly clean comp and do a defrag every week or so. as well as daily spy sweep.

Oh, and I do have the latest version of CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD. This never happened till the latest 3 or 4 versions of AnyDVD I think.

Have you tried another ripping program like DVDFab Decrypter or RipIt4Me to see if you get errors. Also, you can burn faster than 1x, burning too slow is just as bad as burning too fast. With today's 16x media there is no reason to burn at 1x.

Shutting down SpySweeper may help, but I have Spysweeper & I keep it running without any issues. You should also up that burn speed too. 1x is too slow. General Rule: Burn at 1/2 the rated speed for media with your burner. Or, 4x.
I would uninstall CloneDVD 2 like I suggested before,Re-Install, and don't change the defaults. Select the target drive as whatever your DVD Burner is. CloneDVD 2 DOES copy to your hard drive temporarily before it writes to your burner drive. After you are done, eject the finished back up using the button in CloneDVD that say "Eject" wait a second and close the program. The temporary files are automatically deleted by CloneDVD 2.

What model and make burner are you using with the Maxells? If it supports 16x burning with your media, then burning at 8x would be a safe speed. Especially if it is Maxell DVD+R MIJ. But if you aren't sure, burn at 4x. That will be fine & produce good quality burns.
By the way, you do not have Nero INCD installed do you?
If so, uninstall it! It is a "known issue" with DVD burning.

I have no clue what burner I have but it came with comp not external. Comp is HP and fairly new. I just burn at 4x, is good with me, hell I was burning at 1x for a while, 4x will be a breeze. um, don't have Nero installed. Also, it's Maxell DVD+R 4.7 GB, 16x, but what does MIJ stand for, and my disc says RW, does that mean re-writable? Maxell is good media right? Sorry for all the questions >.<

Download DVD Identifier this program will tel you what your real manifacturer is and then we can tell you if the medai you are using is good media. Just post the results here and we will let you know.

There you go. Also remember to burn at max 4x when you are burning. Burning at a too fast speed can cause many other issues with your backup.
