thats how most people think. at least thats what i believe.
however...most seasoned vets prefer the free stuff because of the features that the pay/easy stuff just doesnt offer.
interisting...( this was'nt my idea, i read it on a post that i cant find...but believe was started by aabbccdd).
and the're right, the free progs like dvd-rb +cce, really do produce better quality. no doubt.

give me a day or 2, i'll find the post and link u2it...it's SOLID!

DVD-RB + CCE takes me around 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours depending on the size of the DVD. You can also set up DVD-RB + CCE to do a batch of DVD's. So you can set it up to backup 4 to 5 DVD's overnight. So time shouldnt really be a factor if you let it run overnight.

If it is speed you want then stick with the transcoders but the quaility will deffently take a hit if you do.

I don't use double layer, but read about complaints with compatibility issues. Look into it, before generating expensive coasters.

i think im fine with single layer , i wonder how dvdnxet copy is cuz i remember correctly that x copy 321 did produce a good conpessor resulting in a good quality back ups ,... i didnt like that it had control over the movies such as removing region code auto run and such...

THEY DID NOT PASS ON THE KNOWLEDGE,

all they passed on was the activating servers and in name only..

as the servers are owned by a unknown group..

all i can tell ye,dvdnextcopy is written by a new group

platinum v5.0.013 is better..and is not being sold any more..

why would the burn speed be useful?

also whts this

CopyLater? Work smart! Save time by letting your PC work while you're away. Now you can schedule CopyLater to batch convert videos while you're at work or asleep, ensuring high-quality video output and freeing up your PC for when you need it.

? hmm i was told that interactual video was bad to install on pc due to some copy sofwates conflict to it such as x copy ,cuz it woudl mess up ultra dma to pio

Control of burn speed is important because the combination of the DVD burner and the DVD blank have a maximum read/write speed for the video data transfer. If the data tranfers too fast, the combination will not recognize the data stream, data will be lost, and problably result in a bad burn.

I run my burns at half the maximum speed of the slowest item.
That is the burner or the blank.

guss . because you don't want the media to max out and burn at 16x which it will with Intervideo DVD Copy4. you need to burn at 8x max.

you can batch ovewrnight with dvd-rb and CCE

Ireland, thanks for the great program and info. 123 was the quintessential copier, and now part of it is back. Now if we can resurrect Xcopy Rescue.
