I just purchased a copy of each of these and backed up a single copy of each for travel to DVD-DL 8.5 & 4.7GB AnyDVD 6.0.5.1 in the backround and Nero 7 Recode2. I suggest to any and all members who anticipate the typical freeware burn and belly ache syndrom to get the most recent update of AnyDVD and spend more time enjoying their back-ups as opposed to the Rubiks cube approach of backing up your DVD's. Both backed up with no trouble, Set to Go Direct to Title Menu option. Back-up's play fine even with "Stay Alive's" interactive features.:p

Summary for drive F: (AnyDVD 6.0.5.1)
Drive (Hardware) Region: 1

Media is a Data DVD.
Booktype: dvd-rom (version 1), Layers: 2 (opposite)
Size of first Layer: 2052480 sectors (4008 MBytes)
Total size: 4102586 sectors (8012 MBytes)

Video DVD (or CD) label: LUCKY_NUMBER_SLEVIN
Media is CSS protected!
Video Standard: NTSC
Media is locked to region(s): 1!

RCE protection not found.
DVD structure appears to be correct.
Found & removed invalid VOBUs!
Changed firstplay: Jump directly to TitleMenu!
Autorun not found on Video DVD.
Bad sector protection not found.
Emulating RPC-2 drive with region 1!

SHRINK & Nero are cousins (per software designer)......besides that just look around, the SHRINK forum threads host discussions that include numerous software or freeware applications.:P Plus you've been informed early of 2 future release DVD films and of what to expect and what you and ANY-DVD can do to make the small task of backing up your purchased films.:P
