Okay, Im trying to burn Tom-Yum-Goong. Its a thai movie, when I try and burn it with "nero vision express" the video is cut diagnally. Quality is still the same except for the cut. I have a modded PS2 that can play PAL and was wondering if I burn it, will it correct itself when I play it or will it be cut still?

Most computers will play PAL and NTSC movies. If the backup plays wrong on the computer, it will probably be bad if you burn it to a disk.

I bought a Region 2 PAL movie once because the Region 1 NTSC version is out of print and not available (at a reasonable price). DVD Decrypter made a backup of the movie just fine. It was still in PAL format so I could not watch it on a US television. It DID play fine on the computer.

Try making your backup using DVD Decrypter. I did nothing to my region settings on the computer; not necessary. The backup was made as region free (zero). I think it should work for you.

American NTSC televisions can not play PAL signals. Thought you said something about using the movie on your PS2.

I don't know much about game systems. I play my games on the PC. Are you saying the game system can play movies for the TV?

I am pretty sure you will get a good copy of the movie if you follow my suggestion. As far as seeing it on an American TV - not so sure. Would be worth a try for the cost of one blank disk.
