Hello all.
I have Sandra's greatest videos on original DVD 9.
I have copied this dvd to my hdd using DVDDecrypter and try to Use DVDShrink to fit on a DVD5.
But surprize! DVD Shrink can compress the dvd just until 4,798 gb.
i have tryed to uncheck a few things but i don't have nothing to uncheck. The only thing i can uncheck is the french language. A few mb.
Do you have any ideea?
I there another program who can automaticly compress my dvd 9 to fin on a dvd 5?
Thanx a lot.
Iulian

Have you tried (Reauthor) mode and used just the main movie. I myself never use the entire stuff unless it's extras that show how the movie is made, "IE" making of Fantastic Four or something like that and then you can make an extra DVD for thet stuff, otherwise just use the main movie and that will and should let the movie fit on a 5 DVD. Get back with us and let us know if you have tried or used that mode.

A DVD-5 doesn't have 5GB on it it's got 4.7GB just like Shrink says. Everyone just calls them DVD-5s. Shrink can handled that DL Disc (which doesn't have 9GB on it BTW ) and make it fit on the 4.7 single layer disc.

Actually you might want to set the target in Shrink to 4400MB so you don't burn too close to the edge of the disc.

You could always run the resulting files through Shrink again, should be able to compress to the correct size the second time around.

Ummm not quite. More like 4.38GB
Japanese 1GB=1000MB
Everyone else 1GB=1024MB

So when all the math is done 4.7=4.38
