can the xbox360 be modded the same as ps2?
currently have ps2 and can play backed up dvds no problem.
could i do this with 360 (do the even play dvds) as i know when psp's came out they got round this by using umds instead.

You can play backups of your originals if burnt onto DVD+R dl's.

On side note, you do know you can play backups of PSP games off the memory stick right?

Thats what i needed to know but does the 360 need to be chipped for this or do they just play.cause i had to get chip fitted to ps2 before they would work.

No chip needed but one is available. Just flashing the dvd drive firmware is the most popular method. There's alot of thread here about it. Check it out.
