I have a PS2 that I got in China a few years ago that came modded. It seems like it can play imported games and maybe some burned games. It can't play PS1 games last time I checked, and it also can't play any games I try to burn myself. I've followed the guides on burning in these forums. So I'm stumped. Please help if you can.

Thats not very much info. What do you mean by "maybe some burned games"? Also what brand discs are you using when you try to burn the games yourself? Are they +r or -r discs?

I borrowed some of my friend's games, which he can't play. So I don't know if they are just burned or imported. The disks I'm using are Taiyo Yuden DVD-R.

You don't know how your friend got the discs? Anyways, your using good discs, how are you burning them (program, speed, etc)?

DVD Decryptor for making images and ImgBurn to burn them. I'm burning them at 2x. So that shouldn't matter. BTW, I just asked my friend and he said his parents got them from Thailand or something. I also tried the booktyping, but I'm not sure if that worked or not.

since your using DVD Decrypter to make the image, why are you not burning with it? Also, you could try burning at 4x.

OK, this is weird, I just burned another one, I think this copy was burned with Alcohol 120%. It just got up the the screen that says Playstation 2, then blackness. It also took like 30 sec before it hit the Playstation 2 screen. But now it just keeps going to the Browser and System Config screen.
