On that day i remember i was in my third period english class, and there's a early dismissal.
After that went to mall, but closed.
After seeing tons of people mourning for love one, it really made me a better person and value everyone around me.
what about YOU???
stop hoping, start loving.

I was at my desk at the office. My boss came and said a plain flew into one of the world trade center towers but everone at first thought is was some wierd and unfortunate accident until the second plane ... that couldn't be coincidence. As I work in a government building, we were all sent home. I don't think I'll ever forget the walk home through center city...it was so wierd and panicy .... was like watching one of those ol' Japaneese sci-fi's where everyone is running about panicy waiting for the monster to stomp around the corner. It was wierd and haven't seen it like that before or since.

strange, I too was in my 3rd period English class, but we didn't get early dismissal. We were forced to stay in school brooding in our seats envisioning hateful actions. I remember my Marine Corps ROTC class was going to march down one of the main streets burning a Palistinian flag (since they saw the Palistinians cheering burning American flags on TV in the classroom.) There was a lot of anger out of the youth and sorrow out of the elders... Sad times.

it's probably because of my location, i'm from Fairfield County, which is like 1 hr driving to NYC' also home to bunch of big corporations include GE, Xerox, GE Financial Unit, Unilever, IP, etc etc.
Five year later...
I'm still living with my parent, but going to college. Overall most of thing are the same, except prices gas and gold doubled or tripled, and the price of dsl and cale skydropping to an affordable rate.
Through 9/11, we witnessed the worst of humanity, and the best of humanity.
Although I felt extremely sorry for the family of victims, but i just gotta say "Hope is denial of reality."
stop hoping, start loving.

i was in my 8th grade science class...i had been sitting there, not doing my work as per my usual behavior when the attacks were announced on the radio. my teacher flipped on the tv, and the news channels were replaying the first hit; i was watching that on tv when they showed the second plane hit live.
remember everybody, we can talk about where we were, but just a reminder before it happens: we can't discuss how/why the terrorist strikes happened, as that will lead to politics, which are banned now due to a few ....conservative nags. i'm not playing mod, i'm just remind everyone we've lost a privilege because some people couldn't play nice. ^.^

I was in my 4th grade "English" class. ITs funny how most of us were in English class when it happened. But anyway, All of the teachers in my grade went into my English class and started talking and some of the students knew what was going on ...But I didn't know yet. They turned on the news and then I saw the one building in flames. We were sent home early(Mainly because Im not that far from NYC and probubley most schools in PA,NY,and NJ were sent home early.
5 years Later(9th grade)
Today we went outside and starred at the flag for 30 mins in remeberance.

there was nothing today, except blurbs on the news. no teacher mentions, no memorial services...a bit of rain was it...
i'll say one thing: paying attention in sociology has given me a different view on this event. honestly, without tv or radio or people saying how bad this was, how many of you would have really been mourning? it speaks for the boundaries of reality being dissolved as media works its way deeper and deeper into the mass psyche of society.

For me I was n the school Library when on the ?PA? system said something about 2 planes crashing into the world trade centre (I didn?t really know what happened at the time). Just then two kids got into a fight (I didn?t know why) and as usual I joined the fight. Then I got sent home early but not because of what happened it was because of the fight. And nobody else got to go home just me and the other two kids.

I remember I was sitting on the couch with mother and she was watching the news. At first we thought it was a freak accident but then when we saw the second plane hit it was obvious it was deliberate. Me and mother were in shock. A lot's changed in my life since. I moved out, I got an appartment, and got a job as a janitor at a local middle school. I live in West Virginia and the school I work at didn't really do any memorial, or moment of silence. It was just a regular day.

i was in my social studies class in 8th grade. i, like aus, watched live as the second plane hit. and i also watched both towers fall, twas a sad day indeed. all i heard on the news today was how they were going to let the families walk into ground zero to place flowers and things of that nature. other than that nothing much, its sad that the 5th aniversary of something that horrible only gets a few minutes on the news, tells you something, dont it?
sig made by me, i think.

that, and the fact that people like you and me lose our last grip on sanity in a world of sado-masochistic, maniacal rulers, stupidity, and soccer moms; get our hands on the big guns and open up with genocide on the best scale we can manage.

irrelevant posts removed.
i had just walked in my ex's house and it was on the news, the horror of watching 500mph planes being slammed into those towers was something i just couldn't put into words, and made my problems seem insignificant. Puts a whole new perspective on things

where was I on 9/11. Well, I turned up for work(securtiy) to guard 3 US Navy ships(Tis the most US navy ships my city had seen actually). And it was lucky that I turned up half an hour early because 15 minutes after arriving at work the ENTIRE street was filled with sailors. We had the USS Pelalu(wrong spelling I know. Pronounced Pel-a-lu), USS Comstock and another ship I can't remember.
On the pelalu ther were about 3000 crew and another 2000 marines and only 1000 crew approx were onboard. all the rest were on shore leave. then the comstock also had 3000 and there were about 2500 out on shore leave. Can't remember about the last ship. But it was a horrible night.
We had to block the road with 2 busses and 2 police patrol cars. We had 2 US Navy gate guards 3 security guards 2 us marshals and 2 australian police....and we had to check EVERYONES ID. I even threatened to unload my pistol into the side of a bus if the people didn't get off to be checked.
All in all, a bloody horrible night for all involved.
Anyways, thats my story....Enjoy;-)
