any suggestions or tricks for backing up other region dvd's to play on region 1 players?

or is the best bet to buy a region free player?

when u back up movies i believe that they are region free. meaning they will play in any dvd player.
just use dvd shrink

In addition, you'll have to deal with PAL and NTSC standards. So, yeah, your best choice would be to buy a multiregion player.
