i am getting ready to take on the task of making a back up copy of Lonesome Dove. i need some help because this is a long movie, and not to mention it is on a two sided DVD. so if someone can help me make a backup of this movie i would greatly appreciate it. thanks.

you have choices to make....... do you want to make a back up of one side each to be on one disk or two? I have made back ups of two sided disks using this method:

first rip the movie (side A, then Side B) to the hard drive then follow guide above! For Lonesome Dove it should be no problem. Use DVDFab Decrypter to rip (or DVDDecrypter should do the job). Let me know how you make out.

i would really like to do it on one DL, if i can that is. i really do not want to have two discs, if i have to then i will, but prefer not.

well then follow the guide that I gave you above.....and set shrink to DL not DVD-5. or you can use Nero Recode to do the job. Same as shrink but updated and better for it!
