Anyone have a recomendation for a CD-R brand to use. The pack i just got through had alot of problems with it for w/e i burned. Im mostly looking for a reomendation for MP3s and for ISO,CUE,BIN,CCD, ect. files.

For mp3 purposes the last batch of cds i used had these wierd beeps and distortions on them. The actual MP3 plays fine on my PC/MP3 player but when i burned them they came out horrible. Not all the CDs came out like this mind you but a good bit did. I even tried to lower the burn speed and it still came out the same.

For the other stuff its just back ups of old games that are on the verge of breaking and some random programs. For the games (PS1 specificly) They play but either the cutscenes, CGI parts ect, skip like mad or the music is just messed up big time, not playing at some parts or plays in a corrupted order, or/and the load times are just insanely longer than my real copys. Then the majority just wont start at all

I can think of only 2 back up games i made that work 100% perfect and start up the first try. Breath of Fire 4 (which had a crak in it so im suprised that copyed ok at all) and Parasite Eve 2 Disk 1. BoF4 was burned on a TDK disk a friend gave me, and PE2 was burned to a Memorex disc i had lieing around.

So would anyone recomend me using Memorex or TDK discs or is there a better brand and that was just dumb luck with thos 2 backups. Keep in mind i need them to burn mp3s well also.

oh and all the back ups were tried at the lowest speeds possible, 10x-1x, usally 1x 95% of the time

Fujifilm CD-Rs marked as MIJ are made by Taiyo Yuden. Best Buy has 50 disk packs on special this week for $6.99; I just got one with a $5 off Rewards Zone coupon making my cost $1.99 - What a deal for TY CDRs. The CD Freaks web site generally has good things to say about the Made in Japan Fujis. Slow down your burn speed to help playback problems.
