Hello,
I have been using the original DVD X Copy (Platinum upgrade) since 2002 with great success, until...Walt D's 8 Below. I tired everything listed on the forums and nothing worked until I used AnyDVD. Somehow I got DVD X Copy to work in the simple mode (main movie only) with AnyDVD running in the backround and I was able to backup my movie. BTW, none of the other programs (including upgraded Nero) would backup even with AnyDVD running.
Now my problem, DVD X Copy is not working again, and I NEED to back up my new movies. I am going to purchase AnyDVD and thinking of trying CloneDVD2- any suggestions graciously accepted.
I want a program that will copy the main movie only with the same high quality I got with DVD X Copy...I could not get Shrink to work...newbie here!!!
Thanks so much,
Samantha

Shrink will work if you have AnyDVD running in the background from there you can copy the main movie only This is what I do all the outher stuff is just bulls--t to take up room on your disc Please read the guides they will walk you through everthing I use AnyDVD, Dvdshrink and Dvddecrypter most of the time there are many ways to do this so check out the Guides

Hi,

If you want something easy to use, yeah, your best combo is AnyDVD and CloneDVD 2. You can set them to burn just the main movie.

The original DVD X Copy -321 Studios- closed in 2004 and they no longer sell software or have upgrades to my product. I am not sure about any other software that has Platinum in their name....

that software v5-was upgraded from platinum 4038 by international.com
who took over the activations servers when 321 studios closed..v5 was sold, and not offered as a upgrade..

i have v5- on one of my computers today..
and the best part it can do all the movies out with AnyDVD as long as v5 is converted to ripper free
cheers
