just a quick question, a friend of mine is considering purchasing a pre modded ps2 with matrix infinity mod chip, he as asked me to find out if he will need to do anything else to play games he downloads or does he just burn them to a dvd and they will play fine on his modded ps2? i dont know about these things so just thought id ask. thanks all

just one other question, it says on the site below where he was considering buying his premodded ps2 that it Does not support copied or import game discs unless firmware is updated.What does this mean? Does it mean that he will have to do something to the PS2 when it arrives or just burn and play as you say?

the site you have a link to mentions the matrix infinity comes with firmware v1.36, the latest firmware for that mod is 1.88 and I don't know if that old version of software didn't support backup or import playback but, upgrading is easy all he'd have to do is burn the firmware on disc and run it on his ps2 and he'd get the latest firmware version and from there is would be burn and play backups. www.infinitymod.com is the official team infinity website where you can get info on the mod and firmware

yeah and if you already have a ps2 then dont buy another pre modded one just get swap magig there you go backup up games and youi dont ned to worry about firmware adn stuff!
