Hello,
Ok I used RipIt4Me on "RV" and today when I went to try it out all it plays is the Bio with the man talking for the entire time and not the actual Movie.

I can't understand what happened to the movie, This is the 1st time something like this has happened to me when I backed up a movie.

Can anyone tell me what happened?

I know when I was using Shrink and clicked on "BackUp" I kept getting a message about space and also the Compression wouldn't allow me to change it and it stayed on "Mixed Comp" so then after looking at the guide for RipIt4Me I did what it showed and moved the Title over to the left and then I was able to Back it up.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Have you tried changing the audio on your remote. Sounds to me like somehow just the director's comments got copied.
I have had a movie only DVD that when I played it started out playing the director's comments and I just had to changed the audio on my remote to english and it was fine. But I had both audio on my DVD you may have only burned it with the Director's comments.
I also would put it in your computer and let Shrinkdvd read it and see what audio it list for that DVD.

By playing the bio, what do you mean? If it's just playing a making of the movie, you had a problem happen where you must have unselected the movie itself and backed up the extras.

If you're talking about it playing the movie and it only plays the commentary track, I'd probably check the audio like has been suggested. If that's not the problem, I'd say somehow you got the audio track unselected.

Hi,
Ok maybe I can explain it a different way.

When I went to test the back-up it started like most movies do but instead of the people in the movie talking, It was the Directors comments from start to finish with all the movie scenes.

I have put the disc back into shrink and the audio is selected as im sure it was last night. Im going to reburn it and see what it does. Have no idea what happened during the original process.

Thanks

Ok, I tried it again and came out with the same problem ad wasted 2 Disc's. I guess I will have to start over from scratch and do it over.

Thanks

Don't redo it just yet. Put one of the copies back in and start it like normal. When the movie starts, hit the audio button on your DVD remote. That may change it from the audio commentary back to the first audio track.

Did you copy the whole disc? If you did, go to the main menu and then go to the audio options and see if you can change it from the commentary to the main audio track.

I had this happen before and what happened was I screwed up in the audio portion of Shrink. You'll notice you can choose what audio to copy and what audio not to copy.

I have AnyDVD, DVD43, CloneDvd2, DvdDefab Decryptor,Dvd Decryptor,VobBlanker, WHen I tried using DvdFab it stops on VTS_18 and won't go any farther.

Thanks for the help.

@1Tizz:

I backed up RV using AnyDVD and CloneDVD2. I copied "movie only", and it worked fine. I used the guides prepared by bbmayo and they work like a charm. I wish I could tell you the the step-by-step process, but I'm not at my home pc right at the moment. If you follow bbmayo's guide, it should work for you.

Ok, Ive just finished using RipIt4Me and the FixVTS and now when I try to run it through Shrink it says

"Out of memory, the Peramaters are incorrect"

I have no idea what this means, Now my question is this, can I use Dvd Fab to rip it to my Hard Drive instead of shrink and which folder do I need to use?

I have 1 Folder that says Original IFO's and another Folder that has all the VTS's as well as the logs when I used RipIt4Me and FixVTS so im unsure which I need to use to rip the movie.

Thanks

Ok, Ive just finished backing up RV once again for the 3rd time and I have to say this was the most difficult that ive encountered.

Anyway, the 3rd 1 started the same as the others did with the Man talking about the scene's etc so I thought my Dvd Remote didn't have the Audio button but OMG I finally found it and Bam it worked like you said.

I don't understand it though, why did this happen and will I have to hit the Audio button on my Dvd Remote everytime? This is really strange how it happened like that.

Thanks for all the help.

It sounds as if that was set as the default audio selection and you will probably have to correct it each time you watch it. Probably means who knows. I'm glad you got it fixed. Too bad you wasted valuable time and 2 extra blanks to do it. Good luck in the future.

Maybe use a + or - RW just to make sure it works first.
