I've got a question

Is this game region free? (as i have an import ps3)
Now i realise that the ps3 is region free for games
however it is also true that the developer can still choose to region lock it

I want to be 100% before i go into the shops and buy this ^^

I'm pretty sure it isn't because you would see rants everywhere about region locks and it being the beginning of the end and whatnot.

Just to clarify a few things

I have read that MGO will be region locked
However does that mean it won't work with my imported ps3?
or does it only mean that i will only be able to play with people of the same region i bought MGO

Also, MGO is not included in MGS 4 right? Its a seperate stand alone game?

MGO isnt really a stand alone game. Its not on a seperate disk or anything like that. Its just like any other game in the sense that you just select Multiplayer / Online from the games main menu.

Correct

And it does seem to be a standalone game although it is contained on the same disk as mgs4.

Yes it was an alternate ending you had to make it through all of ocelot's torture sessions.

I think they should have a "status" screen like they have for DVDs (displays time, time left, chapter, etc.). I was caught in a similar predicament myself. I wanted to play for about an hour before I had to get ready for work. Next thing I know, after all the cutscenes, and chatting, about 75 minutes have passed, of which 15 minutes were game time lol.

Thats why im just starting Act 2 because MGS is a game that you got to truly have time to play at lease 4 or 5 hours & be fully rested for the CS & Codec chat.

Very true! The other day, I feel kinda guilty about multitasking while I was playing. I had my laptop open to the right of me. Since you're only up to Act 2, I won't reveal who was in the cutscene, but I wasn't paying as much attention as I should have lol.

Thing is if you have to go in the middle of a long cut scene you dont know when you come back and reload the game if its gonna start after the cut scene or let you watch again. So there is a chance you could miss the cut scene all together. Its caused me loads of agro when my wife wants to go out and im likle hold on i gotta watcj the bloody cut scene!!!

I have a question. What's the main difference between MGS4 Limited Edition Guide and the Normal Guide?

It either has some cheesy extra like a dvd with the mgs4 trailers on it or it has more secrets and easter egg guides. Not sure which one I've never looked into a guide for it.

I know, but I just bought the game from eBay and the seller is throwing a guide with it as an extra, so I thought I'd ask.

Thanks. Anyone can confirm this,
Collector's Edition Features:
- Hardcover edition
- Numbered lithograph by Yoji Shinkawa
- 16 page Solid Snake Art chapter with a selection of the best art from the MGS series.
Thats the only difference.
Thanks in advance.

Also i think i would let you know about the longgg cut scene at the end! Be sure you have about an hour or two spare for the finale! Including after the credits (twice!)

Thats not a spoiler, but it takes forever, and you dont want your girlfriend/wife moaning now do you ;) lol. I really didnt expect an ending THAT long
