hi

everytime u get on the computer i get this trayapp thing and it starts
to download something.i keep trying to stop it.how do i disable it?thanks

its appears as a winddows installer then turn to trayapp.could it be
a hp installer??

well limewire(i think thats where the problems started i hasd a virus
before).im trying to uninstall my hp stuff and reinstall it.maybe th-
ts the problem.thanks

Trayapp is related to HP printers. Seems many people have had this problem. I found three possible solutions but, do them at your own risk as it requires you to use msconfig and regedit.

Try one at a time.

First solution: Unplug and re-plug your printer.

Second solution: Start > Run > msconfig. Click the Startup tab and uncheck the entry related to trayapp. Ok your way out and restart.

Third solution: Start > Run > regedit. First, click File > Export encase something goes wrong. Then, go to hklm/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/run and delete the entry related to this application.

Let us know which one, if any, work.
