I want to Thank everyone who have posted in Afterdawn. I am in the process of transfering all 30 my VHS tapes to DVD and with your help through the post here at AD I have learned much. I now can not only transfer them but shrink them, put two VHS tapes on one DVD, re-arrange there playing order and much, much more.

I'm suprised your in such a good mood after that butt-whipping Michigan put on your Irish today. BTW, I was pulling for ND.

I'm also interested in transferring VHS tapes to DVD (with 2 kids, I have a ton of them). Could you please fill me in on the software/hardware you used? Thanks.

@tsquare43 you don't know how hard it was to watch that game. The question now is what will the rest of the season be like!

To copy my VHS tapes I use a stand alone Go-Video VHS/DVD recorder to transfer my VHS tapes to DVD. Then use RipIt4Me, DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink to rip them into my computer. With DVD Shrink I can re-author them and take out parts that either don't look good or just don't want.
You can find great quides here on AD to use RipIt4Me, DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. Also the people here on AD are fantastic with their advise.
I am making copies for the whole family as we made an 8 hour tape of all the families 8mm movies to VHS and now transferring those to DVD also.
If I can help in anyway please let me know.

Thanks. I wasn't able to watch the game. I walked in, flipped on the TV right about the time the scores were running across the bottom. Could not believe it! I guess you'll now see how much character the team has. 11-1 won't be a bad record.
