What does it do when the mod chip is disabled?
You may want to recheck your chip's solder points. If you used a solderless adapter, make sure it hasn't shifted at all.

when I turn off the mod chip it does the same thing, it started doing it when I was at the hdd game loader and I accedentally pressed the black button, then it resarted and just kept doing that, so I turned it off and back on and it kept on doing it....and I can still play games though....

ok, I think I know whats wrong. I think I accidentally deleted my dashboard, and I cant really find anyway to solve this problem or even prove that thats whats wrong. the only thing I can think to do is to get a new hard drive and stick that sucka in there.

Well I have an xecutor 2.3b pro and I had Evo-x on it, but I accidentally pressed a button when serching the files on the hard disk, then it reset the xbox and just keeps reseting over and over.

I have absolutely no clue, when I was at the hard disk search thing I accidentally pressed the black button, if that deletes stuff then probably.

Have you tried booting with the disc already inserted? As in, the Xbox is off but the disc is inserted and you turn it on with the disc still inside. Or are you always opening the tray, putting the disc in, and hoping it loads up?
I just find it odd for a chipped Xbox to not boot up a disc and end up in a reset loop.
