just can't burn with a pioneer 111d

i'm having trouble trying to burn with the latest clonecd,verbs,and pioneer 111d in a external caddy.it would start to burn then at different %'s the speed rate would just drop to nothing and then the remaining time would say unknown.i was told to update my firmware to 1.29 and see if that would work. i tried burning again with verbs at x2.4 then at 9% it just stops burning with the unknown time remaining.i just don't have no idea what to do.please help ............sudeki300

I would suggest that if you can put the pioneer drive inside your pc instead of using externally via usb

i would do that if i own a pc but i have a laptop.i have just got back from the shop which i bought from and found that the external caddy was faulty because when they tried burning with it it was also giving errors.so now everything should be running smothly
