Hello
this is strange I have burnt a lot of discs and never struck this.
DVD Shrink shows it has audio, as in 5.1 and DTS, plays the menu music on my PC and standalone but nothing when the movie starts.
Obviously I have tried other discs and know my system is working (it can play both sound formats) any ideas please?
Burning everything elso OK, dodgy disc?
When you choose the main title in DVD Shrink and click Play in the player, do you get sound?
Instead of burning directly from DVD Shrink, either create a hard disk folder of video files or an ISO image file as the Shrink output. , Windows Media Player, or any number of software players can play the video folder. You'll need to mount the ISO image as a virtual DVD with Alcohol, Daemon Tools, Nero ImageDrive or some other software to play it. Do you get sound? If so, burn the folder or the ISO image with ImgBurn or Nero.
If you still have the original, redo the backup compilation with DVD Shrink. I assume the original DVD plays back without any problems.
sorry for late reply
Only when I play the menu do I get sound, when I select the main movie it refuses to play at all, I can scroll through it but it wont play by its-self which makes me think it's stuffed.
It is in a Video_TS/Audio_TS format, when I play the Video file with windows media, no sound.
In Shrink after it's loaded there is a box ticked with AC3 5.1ch english 394MB and DTS 666MB box ticked, so it's all there!
Unfortunately I no longer have the original and never checked to see if it also played audio
