First I want to let every one knows that, I read all the topics related to PS2 HDD and now i am confused. I need to run my games through HDD Using Network adaptor. I have Codebreaker 9.1, NA and I did the MC exploit also. I attach the Maxtor 40GB HDD to my NA (Network Adapter) and ran the Winhip Now my questions.
(1) What settings i need to use to format my regular HDD in WinHip.
(2) If I transfer my ISO games to my HDD then How i am gona load (run ) these games. I heard Using HDloader or HDadvnce ? Where i can download.
(3) What software i will use to create a ISO image for PS2 CD/DVD games. Is DVD Decrypter is good ?
If you have done the exploit, you ae in good shape. Download HDLoader 0.8b from sksapps.com, and put it on the memcard. Install the NA and the HDD. Load the HDLoader elf and it will ask you to format the drive. Once done, you can rip games from the PS2 to the HDD using HDLoader, or you can transfer ISOs from your PC via LAN using hdl_dump/dumb.
That should answer your first questions.
Question 3....DVD Decrypter is great for ripping ISOs. Its pretty much what everyone uses.
Thanks , I did every thing and it works well untill i load the ISO image using winhip. I took the HDD out and connect to my PC , add/update the ISO in this HDD and connect this HDD back to PS2. Now as sson as i boot using MC expoit , I got a screen and it is a PS2Menu screen with the error that HDD file system is unrecognized, even though I format using HDloader and it shows me that HDD is empty and i need to add some image, It was a successfuly format and i checked by restarting couple of times. but now i am getting this error after adding that image using Winhip. What i am doing wrong ?
Put the drive back into your PC and use WinHiip to repair the PS2 partion (or, since there is only one game, reformat it and start fresh). Put the drive back in the PS2 and try installing a game from the PS2 using HDLoader. See if it works that way. Once we confirm that everything works the way it should, we'll move on to fixing the WinHiip installation problems.
