I run 4 dw1655 burners on my rig and have never had a problem till the last month or so ... one burner was giving coasters quite often, so I sent it in for a new one ... and it was replaced with a brand new unit ... now the new unit in the same location is doing the same thing ... good media ... ty's, good burners, dma's all on, powerful rig ... what am I missing? I do notice the signal light on the front of it is a little dimmer than the rest... Ill replace the ribbon if the log is good....

I've checked your log and it looks pretty decent, except 2 things needed to be done.

Quote:
Nero Version: 7.0.1.2
Internal Version: 7, 0, 1, 2

That version seems to have more bugs, so try to update to the latest Nero 7.5.1.1 or at least an older version 7.0.8.2. Now uninstall your current Nero 7.0.1.2 and run this clean tool, http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then install the most stable version of Nero 7.0.8.2 available from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845

Recorder: <BENQ DVD LS DW1655 (3/1)>Version: BCDB

Your current firmware is BCIB, go here http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2224 and download it to update on your burner's firmware.

Good media here, Taiyo Yuden is top notch, so it's definitely the "firmware" for sure.

Again, see above reply. Seems like current firmware can't handle the MID or the media. Update burner's firmware, then try to burn again to see if you'll get any luck/successful burned.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

Another thing:
When's the last time you de-fragged your HD(s)? If it's been awhile, or if you use your computer a lot, defrag, reboot and see if that helps. It's helped a few people before, to do this.
Good luck!

As long as you got it from a reputable source. The no-name flea market discs often ID as TYG02... they aren't.
