I was noticing how expensive the wireless networking adapter for the X360 was. 99Dollars!! To me thats expensive for a freaking network card. So I was wondering if anyone has found a work around to allow someone to use a different less expensive wireless adapter.

My wireless card and router to my pc combined was about 100 dollars, so for me to shell out that much money for and wireless adapter alone is too much.

Thanks for the help,

jasin

you can do many things
You could bridge connection from you're PC to you're Xbox if your PC is next to your Xbox or
you could use Nyko's wireless net extender it will run you only about $30

http://www.nyko.com/Nyko/Products/?i=14

I myself currently use both I bride the connection from my laptop to my Xbox and use the Nyko's wireless net extender for my ps2
both ways work great and are cheat next to $100 adapter that you can only use on the xbox

Thanks for the advice. I will definitely consider that product. Much cheaper than 100 dollars..

I just have to send email to manufacturer to find out if it will let you choose among multiple routers which one you want to connect to. I live in apartment building so there is about 4 wireless routers in range and i only want to connect to mine.

Thanks again

That Nyko one looks like it might be something I am interested in picking up. Would you say it is worth getting, or is there alot of a difference in quality between that one and the Microsoft one. The only thing I have to say about it is, I wish it was in white like the Xbox itself.

I doubt there will be $70 worht of quality lost anyhow.

well the cool think about the net extender is it really isn't "True" wireless it works more like a "wireless ethernet cable" you simply connect the base unit to a open port in you're modem/router and connect the recever unit to you're Xbox and bam ur done!

a normal one??
diffrent adaptors run a diffrent speeds,
why would I want to waste mine and your time by making stuff up?

why would they make it to connect @ 100 Mbps and it can only run @ 56 that makes no sense coming from a 1st party adaptor, seems like your the one making stuff up

btw just becasuse u connect @ 100Mbps doesn't mean you are geting 100mbps the speeds very by what your ISP has set
