Some games have to be patched to boot from the hard drive.

If you use Quix to transfer them to your Xbox from your PC, you can have it patch the xbe when you transfer it.

Thanks goes out to theridges for the userbars :)

@scamino1
Why do you put it as an .iso on your harddrive?

@scamino1
Well usually you use .iso images to burn backups or copies of your games. For use on your harddrive just FTP to your Xbox and drag the files into E:/Games/"Name of Game" folder

Hello All, I hope that you can help me..I have a softmodded box..I have installed a seagate 250Gig HD..Im having the same issues..I can't get iso's to work..I have tried using qwix I have tried using FTP.Both ways get the game there and they will play the video before the game..Everytime I get to the click start screen for and game the game will either freeze / lockup or restart and go back to the softmod dash..However..If i have the OEM Game i can use the dvd2xbox and the game works great..This is the best site that i have seen for issues like this.Just wanted to say that you guys are great..Please help i'm lost at this point..

"Dunt dunt da duh!" FuZ3 to the rescue, lol. I'm having a little trouble understanding what you guys need. First FTP to your Xbox and you copy all the files from a game into a folder on your desktop called the name of the game. Then you have two options, make a disk/backup or put it on your Xbox's harddrive.

****** Harddrive *******

-FTP to Xbox
-Navigate to E:/Games
-Create a folder and name it the name of the game
-Copy all the games content into that folder (*Example* Don't put Halo2/Halo2 there should be only one folder with the games name)(Also if you are doing halo2 the campaign maps wont fit if it's the stock harddrive)
-Close your FTP client and reboot your Xbox
-Click run games off hardrive and click on the game you just added and it should boot fine (For Halo2 it might say the disk is dirty or damaged, if so delete the bink folder)

****** Disk (Backup) ******

Or follow this tutorial: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/375572

-Open up Qwix
-Click create iso
-Click the local directory
-Locate the folder all the files for the game are in
-iso location should just be your desktop
-when finished making .iso close Qwix
-Open ImgBurn
-Locate the .iso you just made
(Make sure you have a blank disk in your drive)
-Burn speed put whatever the slowest is (Usually 2x, making it less likely to screw up)
-go to your modded dash and pop in your disk and let it load

Ok thanks for the response..I have two diferent hd's..One the 8 gig that is back to normal the way it came..2 a 250 gig HD Seagate that i bought for the box..It is softmodded...Let me see if i can explain my self better..I have softmodded this drive..I can connect FTP t and get games there.I can use qwix and get the games there..When i try and play the games they will start and load.When i have to push start for the game to start then it freezes..That is the issue that im having..I know that the HD is working because I can use dvd2xbox and it works great.Are you able to use backup/burnt game on the soft mod..If so I cannot fo that either..
