Yeah it seems it is true. Earlier I was able to run N64 emulator and other homebrew through eloader v0.9.8 porter version. And now the work od porter and tiff exploit that was found in new psps has been taken to the next level by dark_alex he has developed a devHOOK port to be used in 2.71FW and I have a TA082 and it didnt brick my psp even i reinstalled it 10 times as i was unable to launch devhook. So for a lay man simply u can now play isos and umds but i havent tried that i will today .

Anyone who can update this thread with detail on how to install i would be thankful i did install but even i dont know how it worked while it wasnt working earlier. SO TA082 owners bow down to dark_alex send some donation to him for his work. Because anyways you 200$ investment was only limited.

well mr crazypsp i dont think its good to say but i guess ur are mentally retarded and also uninformed. So mr know it all , have you checked the new devhook for fw 2.71 ?

I bet you have not go to http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/ and check out the new devhook developed by dark alex. IT RUNS ON A TA082 and It does EMULATE FW 1.5 on a 2.71!!! So dude you DONT NEED to downgrade and anyhow TA982 cannot be downgraded . So get your facts updated before telling others .

hey mandeep i cnt get devhook for 2.71 to work either...i got hen already n i installed it.. but wen i try to run devhook for fw2.71 it says game cannot be played or somtin...wat do i do?

hehehehe than i had just bought it and i was frustated as no one was developing something to play homebrew in TA-082 but within a month of this thread i actually got it all working


And credit goes to awesome guys dark_alex , fenijita,ookm these guys can


FW 2.5(company installed)-> 2.71 _> 2.80->2.81 ->1.5 -> 3.10OE A

and what is this about 1.5 f/w emulation w/devhook? lol I still dont see the function of DEVhook since OE's came around (oh wait, its for the poor bastards that update their psp as soon as they get it, then get mad at everyone else because they cant run homebrew..lol)

anyways, if thats true, then big up booster...if not, I didnt expect much from the hook...(just me)

Dude, you can't knock DevHook. Booster is a genius. DevHook brought all of us hours of gameplay on a v1.50 PSP that we wouldn't normally have had in a time long before Custom FW. Even tho I don't use it anymore, I still keep the eboots on my PSP (DevHook v0.44) for the sake of nostalgia. I don't even have the dh folder; just the eboots. hahaha.


Btw, I love your sig. It's subtle, yet effective. :D
