Ok I have the matrix infinity green dot mod-chip professionally installed on my v7 PS2 and now I can't play my original PS2 discs all i can play is my SNES emulator i burned on a cd-r. is it the laser or is it the mod-chip disbeling my PS2 from reading originals beacuse i tried disabling my mod-chip and all it says when i put original disks is disk read error. is it the laser or the mod-chip doing this.

P.S. before i had it installed it boot original games perfectly.

Did you try to test backups and originals before you took the system back from this so called "professional" installer? Could be that the laser got misaligned or damaged since you can't boot originals with the mod disabled. I would say take it back to the guy and make him fix it but, from the sound of things he could end up making things worse.

NTSC DNAS threads.

Yeah when putting mod chips in your PS2 the person who is putting it has to be very cautious because the PS2's are very fragile and just one wire ripped could mess your PS2 up.
