Hello, I am having some trouble with my cd-rom drive and hope there is someone out there who can help. First of all, my OS is windows 98 (an old computer I am trying to get data off of via cd-r) and I have had some trouble with it. I had to restore the OS but did not have any trouble finding the drives after the restoration process. I know this because I used the dirve to install the video drivers. However, I am not sure if the drives became undetectable after the installation of the nvidia driver or after I attempted to install Nero 7. I checked the system manager and did not see and yellow flags. All my attempts to map, detect the drives yielded no results. Even though the drives are plugged in, it is as if they do not exist. Does anyone have any suggestions for a severely frustrated individual?
