If you read the auction it says "...to block the lid sensors of your PS2 Slimline or SCPH-7000X". Lets see here, X is more often then not any random number when it comes to numbering and your model is 70003 so the 3 would fall under random number. Did you figure out the answer yet?

some of these members, just cos they are senior think they know more than noobs!!
Magic keys 2 is probably what you need!
tool 3 is more like a tooth pick in width. some slim models have a metal tab to stop the magic keys 1 tool 3.
goto http://www.magickeys.net
i have heard of people pushing the metal tab in to make room for the keys 1 tool 3.
look around, theres loads of info around!

no.
Google "magic Keys II"
or goto http://www.magickeys.net/MagicKeys%202.html
at the bottom of the page is a small movie that will give you some idea what to do with the thin tool 3
Magic keys (the original) is for the older, black slimline PS2 that didnt have the gap covered.
slim kit pro is the Plastic version of the magic keys tools i.e. no good for you!
hope this helps.
BTW some people have trouble with tool 3 and others arnt able to fit it at all (though i dont know why!) so there are no guarantees.

I just got and tool 3 is a sh*t on 75001. the leg is a bit too long. I can make work with pusing it or if i want to 90° (normal, showed on instruction. I must put a 0.5mm between the key and the ps2. It really sucks but magic switch pro 3 and slim tool pro uses the same 3rd tool so it does not change anything

I still wonder about the softmods for slims. When I bough mine the warranty sticker was affixed to the back side of the PStwo, so with a carefull hand, I tape modded the rear switch without seperating the backside of the two case halves without trouble (lol). I'll have to check these out though, my front switch is starting to stick...a lot...

weel i got my new slim ps2 yesterday and it took me about 3 minutes to install Magic keys II tool 3! infact i did it twice!!
my moddel is: SCHP:7703 i cant close the lid with tool 3 but im going to try sanding it. the part of tool 3 that sits proud seems to be far thicker than needed. if i can take .25mm-.3mm maybe that will give the lid clearance enough to close.
i'll keep you posted

well, i sanded off all i could but it seems (on closer inspection) that closing the lid pushes out the tool a little from inside....
also, the spring arm that sits in the gully is blocked by tool 3 and ads pressure to the lid and hinges.
it looks like i'll have to leave the lid open untill the warantee runs out then get the magic switch system to suplement what i ahve.
does anyone else have problems with closeing the lid after tool 3 is inserted?
