Can anyone please help me.

I believe my TCP/IP thing is corrupt and I want to know how to fix it.
Reinstall it perhaps, thank you.

This is kind of urgent thanks.

Kind Regards, BluRay.

TCP/IP is a network protocol you can't reinstall it. What do you mean it is corrupt? If something was wrong with it you won't be on the internet as it is the way data packets are sent.

Actually you can re-install tcp/ip. What kind of operating system do you have? I will tell you how to do all this. We'll go through a reg fix too.

TCP/IP can become corrupt very easily by numerous amounts of different things. Let me know what troubleshooting steps you have taken too.

toocool4u is correct in saying that if your tcp/ip was not working you wouldn't be able to access the internet to post your question which you have obviously successfully done.

Ah, yes I see now. Didn't realise you could install it again, but I guess that makes sense since people obviousley had problems with it before.

Check this out. Works great.

I have used it several times when the TCP/IP stack goes corrupt.

To uninstall your Network Adapter (then reinstall) go to start/ right click My computer/manage/device manager/Network adapters then right click your network controller and uninstall, once you have uninstalled go to your computer at the top in the device manager and right click then scann for new hardware, it will then reinstall your network adapter.

I think I am getting paranoid.

You guys are right if it was corrupt then I wont be able to view webpages.
What made me think that it was corrupt is that I could not view webpages.
I run on WinXP Media Centre Edition.
When suddenly I was able to view pages again, I used that time to post this problem.
I thought the problem was gone but it happened again and became a bit more common.
But now everything is ok.
So thanks guys.

Kind Regards, BluRay

ps.Sorry to have caused such a fuss.

No problem man, glad you got this figured out.

Just a side note: Somtimes the ethernet cable is not secure and you may need to give a little push in or unplug then plug it back in.
